Fraxel Dual is a non-ablative skin resurfacing laser that improves tone, texture and pigment in nearly all skin types. Fraxel is effective in reducing fine lines, scars and pigmented age spots. It improves tone and texture of skin. Fraxel also reduces or eliminates early skin cancers such as actinic keratosis. Fraxel treatment is used for the face, neck decollete, hands, or anywhere skin improvement is desired.
Fraxel treatment takes approximately 60 minutes. A numbing cream is first applied to the area. Once the area is numb, the laser is applied. Patients feel little to no discomfort. Redness and mild swelling is expected for the first few days. Skin becomes “bronzed” by day 2, and begins peeling on day 3 or 4. Peeling is typically complete by day 6 to reveal soft, bright, glowing skin. Best results are obtained with a series of 3 treatments spaced 6 weeks apart. Many patients return for a “Fraxel Refresh” yearly after the initial set of treatments.

Botox
The cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, often referred to by the product name Botox® or the newer brands Dysport® and Jeuveau®, is used to relax certain muscles in your face to reduce wrinkles and lines, creating a softer, more youthful look.
The purified botulinum toxin blocks the nerve impulses only where it is injected, temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause wrinkles while giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance. Popular areas to address with Botox, Dysport, or Jeuveau are the area between the brows, the upper forehead, the crows' feet at the corners of the eyes. Patients also often ask about a very subtle "Botox brow lift" that brightens the eye area with a tiny dose of Botox at the arches of the eyebrows.

Injectable Dermal Fillers
Injectable fillers are used to instantly fill in and smooth out wrinkles and folds in your face. While these products will not stop the natural aging process, they are used to restore volume in the face to create a more youthful look. Dermal fillers can be used to: plump the lips; soften facial folds, lines and wrinkles; and improve the appearance of depressed scars.
Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in our bodies, and therefore does not require allergy testing. It is commonly used to plump thin lips and fill facial creases such as the folds between the nose and mouth. Depending on the product used, the results last 4 - 8 months.
A wonderful innovation in the hyaluronic acid fillers is the addition of a numbing agent to the filler, which allows for a much more comfortable experience for our patients. Juvéderm XC® as well as the newer additions to the line (Volbella®, Voluma® and Vollure®) have been very popular in our practice.
Juvéderm Fillers
Juvéderm® Plus XC and Juvéderm® Ultra Plus XC work beautifully to soften the lines along the nose, cheeks, and mouth. Vollure® has a similar look and feel to traditional Juvéderms, while Voluma® provides long-lasting enhancement to restore and highlight the cheekbones. The latest addition to the Juvéderm® family is Volbella®, a soft filler designed specifically for plumping the lips.

Human Fat
Human fat, harvested from your own body during liposuction, can be carefully transferred to restore facial fullness and fill deep lines. However, because surgery is required to harvest and purify the fat, this is a more extensive procedure than other injectable fillers.

Similar to the family of Juvéderm® fillers, Duet is pleased to offer the full line of Restylane® fillers, including Refyne, Defyne, Lyft, and Silk. Restylane® Lyft has been a complete game-changer for the backs of the hands, once a tell-tale sign of aging.
Kybella
If you have ever felt self-conscious about fullness beneath your chin or wished your jawline had more definition, Kybella® can improve your appearance without surgery.
Kybella® is deoxycholic acid - a substance naturally found in the human body - which is injected into the “double chin” to destroy those particular fat cells. Once destroyed, these fat cells can no longer store fat, reducing the fullness beneath the chin and sharpening the jawline. The minimally invasive procedure is done in-office, takes about 30 minutes, and may cause temporary bruising and swelling. Most patients need 2-6 treatments, spaced about a month apart, to achieve the results they want.
SkinPen

Microneedling with the SkinPen may be the solution you have been seeking.
Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), has become increasingly popular as a minimally invasive method of skin rejuvenation. At Duet, we are happy to offer the SkinPen microneedling treatment to achieve increased skin thickness, reduction in fine lines and pore size and an overall improved skin texture. Microneedling is also one of the only non-surgical treatments that has been shown to improve the appearance of stretch marks.
What differentiates microneedling from its laser and chemical peel counterparts, however, is that microneedling causes essentially no downtime. Equally as attractive, the procedure is appropriate for nearly all skin tones. Unlike laser and chemical peels, microneedling has minimal risk of permanent pigment changes in darker skinned individuals. Another unique feature of microneedling is its beneficial effect on acne scars and stretch marks, which have traditionally been refractory to non-surgical treatments.
Microneedling begins with a skin analysis to determine the issues to be addressed. Based on this analysis, the depth of the treatment is chosen. After the face is cleansed, a topical numbing cream is applied. Once the skin is numb, the microneedling begins, using a serum that is delivered into the dermis, enhancing the results. Although small needles penetrate the skin, most patients describe it as feeling like a “vibrating facial” with little to no discomfort. By the next day, most redness (similar to a mild sunburn) has dissipated and the improvements start to become visible. For many patients, we recommend a series of 2-3 treatments spaced one month apart to achieve maximal improvement.
